We’ve s’plained about this particular annual event before, but it was a good historical and soo-she-earl-laj-jik-kal s’planation, so worth reading again as a refreshenerer. (It’s a good read!) We started going a couple of years ago for our gals’ garden, but it’s different every time.
First year we got snapdragons, columbine, and pretty yellow flowers that looked like yellow daisies. Last year…wellll, if’n you wanna know ‘bout last year, go visit the link we had in our last paragraph. Kehehehehehe
This year, we couldn’t stay long, a’cuz Daddy has a beary important appointment tomorrow, and can’t be too tired to miss it. We still had a fun time, and we got to take some of the pictures, too!

The only way you can tell it’s in the city is when you look up and see tall buildings all around it. We’re sitting near the edge here.

This is a close up of us. We don’t have enough room in our garden for those bushes, and we have too much light for those huge Hostas. This is just part of the park though, so they weren’t for sale anyway. Neither are those good-looking teddies!

The park is only one block, but that’s huge to us! To make sure we didn’t get lost, we had a seat to look all around and get the layout of the whole park.

It had all kinds of features and statues, like a good garden’s s’pose to have. We found this giant frog carved from stone! We need one of these for our garden, but it wasn’t for sale either.

We wanted to take our own picture of a statue. That’s when we discovered they were all too tall for us. This is our only picture of a statue.
Kehehehehehe Bare Peoples with a bare bottoms! We thought Daddy was kidding when he took this picture! He thought it was very well done, and he liked the sundial the boys were holding up. (We looked! They were bare in the front, too! The statue, not Daddy! Kehehehehehehe)

When we saw this one, we had to have our pictures taken with it! Doesn’t he look like he’s going to eat us?

Good thing we had our picture taken, before looking closely. Aren’t those real fangs?

When we could look at it closer, we finally figured out why the lion was angry. It reminded us how the Lion of Judah would destroy the serpent. Quite a scary scene and we sure are glad to be on the Lion’s side!

Lions have bigger paws then we do. The serpent is going to lose!

We got a little a’scared (just a little) from that statue, so we had to sit and soak in the garden some more.
We took this picture of the sparrow, the pretty bushes, the classy cast-iron fence, and the People’s bottom, who took our exploring bench. Kehehehehehe

That tree has big white flowers! We took this picture! Can you see the big white flowers? Do you know what kind of tree it is? It’s beary pretty!

This is a closer look at the flowers on the same tree. Daddy tookeded the picture by zooming in for us.

It was coffee break time, so we took Daddy and Mommy to a little café we found – the Tuscany Café.

We had some yummy coffee with Daddy, and Mommy had a coke. They got into one of their How-we-would-fix-the-world-if-we-could conversations, so we decided to read the paper (and finish up Mommy’s coke, since she forgot about it.) On the chair is our special traveling backpack with the secret trapdoor, so we can sneak out, and not be detected.

We told Mommy and Daddy which plants our sweeties would like bestest, since we couldn’t be caught talking and moving by Peoples (some Peoples are bear-nappers, ya know), and we played Hide ‘n Seek here, while they went through the Flower Fair again, to pick up the ones we choseded.

We thought we foundeded another Teddy Bear Swimming Pool, but there were no other bears or small city animals around, so we pretend to be lost, and sat still until Daddy and Mommy came to pick us up.

Daddy found us and said that it was a pretty reflection pool. We’re a little confused though, a’cuz we saw no reflections swimming there.

These are the plants we choseded for our wonderful wives and daughters. They’re all succulents, but they can’t really live together like that. The green one at the top is a Haworthia, which needs bright light, but can’t be out in the sun. The one on the left is an Echeveria of some kind (it will get pretty big), and the one on the right is some kind of Anacampseros, although not the same type we bought last year. (That one died during the winter, sadly.) We’re sorry we had to use the scientific names, but they don’t have easier ones.
Our wives loved our choices and are deciding how to combine them with the ones we already have. We have three big containers, but we have to combine the ones with the same needs. It’s as confusing as their names, but we’ll show you what they decide, as soon as we can. It might take a while since the official beginning of the gardening season starts tomorrow, so everything must be planted and sown as soon as possible.
We’re not as big into gardening as our Gardening Gals are, but we do enjoy adventures with Daddy and Mommy, especially when we can bring something back to give to our wives. They really enjoy cuddling with us afterwards, so it’s a win/win kinda thing!
