Axlerod has been researching how stuffies come to be for a while now. We’ve always heard about the ones, who get adopted from stores, and are born out of bags or boxes. We’re quite surprised to have read this teddies’ story. Do you know other ways stuffies become adopted? Axlerod’s quite upset that he missed something, so now inquiring stuffies need to know! Well, we are bears too! My older sister, Peach Blossom came from a bag while i came from a big box. But our youngest sister, Peppermint Blossom was a poor abandoned bear found in a junk yard(or a garbage fill, i think) and she looks bad because her eyes are made from buttons, but i and my sister Peach still love her beary much!

Axlerod had button eyes for decades. He says they are a sign of love -- that Mommy wanted him to see, even after loosing his or-rig-n-l eyes. Mommy did find him just the right size googly eyes from a craft store though - so one Christmas, he got new eyes, a new tongue and a new nose (he lost all them, too.) Mommy loved him ever since she was little, so you know he is well loved! We think Peppermint was accidentally misplaced, so it's good she got a new home.

Ted and Spauld

In the early 1990s I was helping clear up after a Jumble Sale.Amid the toys that weren`t sold was an odd looking bear. His eyes are kind of crooked,but he just appealed to me. So after paying 10 GB pennies he came home with me. He is called Jumbly Sale of course.:)He told us he was brought up in a Bear Orphanage,but was "born" in a furniture warehouse.I must admit his fur resembles soft furnishing fabrics.
